| Bio: | Hello world, it's me, Lisa. Yes, that Lisa. :) I'm also known in other places as Larrysgirl and Glickchick. I've decided to join the ranks of Live Journal so I can add my three cents on whatever subject I feel like writing about at the time. What do want to know about me? Hmm...I'm a big fan of the Beatles (check out my user name), been one for many, many years. At times, my fandoms have included the Three Stooges, Get Smart, Star Trek TOS, Dr. Who, MacGyver and last but not least the Monkees. (I still love them all) I'm also very fond of 60's and 80's music and I adore Duran Duran. I have a degree in Journalism from Penn State University. I write a lot of Monkees fan fiction. Though I love the Beatles more, I've found it easier to write about the Monkees. I have two sites for all the stories too, so expect lots of entries about the latest story I'm writing/co-writing. I'm also a very, very proud owner of Monkees_Dreamworld_fanfic group at Yahoo. I am also the proud co-owner of Storybook_Monkees and Monkees_Fanfiction at Yahoo. Other than talking about my stories, I'll be making comments on the latest news, or my life or whatever. I doubt I'll set the world on fire with my prose, but it will be MY comments, MY opinions. So if you don't like what I have to say, if you don't like my opinions, then don't read my journal...or comment in it either. I do not comment in your journal if you say something I don't like, so kindly extend me the same courtesy. Simple. I'm not afraid to ban trolls. I think I should tell everyone that I'm not good at taking criticism. I'm not proud of that fact, but there it is. I've hurt people that I might've called friends because of it. Perhaps posting this will help me change...I guess admitting you have a problem is the first step in overcoming it. I also have a big mouth which has gotten me into trouble at times...I try to live a Christian life, but I'm far from perfect. I welcome anyone to friend me, but I will browse your journal first to see what you're about before I decide to friend you back...unless you're someone from Monkeeland or one of my Yahoo groups. | |
